Just hours ahead of the release of Yash’s much-awaited pan-India film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, the makers have issued a heartfelt appeal to audiences, requesting them not to record scenes from the film or share spoilers on social media. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is set to hit theatres on August 26.

‘Toxic’ makers urge audience not to share spoilers on social media

KVN Productions, the banner behind the film, shared a statement titled “A Note from Team Toxic” on social media. It read, “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is not just a film for us, it’s years of heart poured into a world we built frame by frame, scene by scene, choice by choice. Every technician, artist, and crew member involved in the making and release of this film intends for you to have a similar experience. An experience made for the big screen as a community.The note further expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response the film has received ahead of its release. “The love you’ve already shown this film, the excitement, the thunderous advance we’ve seen coming in, means more to us than words can carry. Thank you for your support throughout our journey,” the makers wrote.The production house then made a direct appeal to moviegoers, urging them to preserve the theatrical experience for everyone.“There’s one thing we sincerely request from you, let the experience unfold the way it was meant to. Don’t record scenes from the movie in theatres and post them on social media, don’t give away story beats and spoilers and ruin it for others. Let the next person walk into the world of Toxic exactly the way you did. #ToxicOn26thAug,” the statement read.

Yash’s return to the big screen after ‘KGF: Chapter 2

The film marks Yash’s return to the big screen after the massive success of the ‘KGF’ franchise. ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films, earning more than Rs 1,200 crore worldwide and further establishing Yash as one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars.Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth.Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, the film is releasing in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, taking Yash’s highly anticipated return to audiences across multiple languages.With the film finally arriving in theatres on August 26, the makers’ latest appeal is aimed at ensuring that audiences experience the story, surprises and visual spectacle of ‘Toxic’ on the big screen without encountering leaked footage or spoilers online.
