The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling 2026. Eligible candidates can register online from August 5 through the official MCC counselling portal. The counselling process will be held for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), along with other seats managed by MCC. Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 are advised to read the counselling information bulletin carefully before registering. Admission will be given only to candidates who meet the eligibility rules set by the concerned authorities.

Who can apply?

Candidates can participate in NEET UG Counselling 2026 if they:

  • Have qualified NEET UG 2026.
  • Meet the eligibility requirements for MBBS, BDS or BSc Nursing admission.
  • Fulfil the required qualifying percentile and other admission conditions.
  • Complete online registration within the given deadline.

Candidates applying for state quota seats will also have to register separately with the concerned state counselling authorities, wherever required.

How to register for NEET UG counselling 2026

Candidates can complete the registration process by following these steps:

  • Visit the official MCC counselling website.
  • Click on the NEET UG Counselling 2026 registration link.
  • Log in using your NEET UG application credentials.
  • Complete the registration and pay the required counselling fee.
  • Fill in the required personal and academic details.
  • Upload the necessary documents, if applicable.
  • Select and arrange your preferred colleges and courses.
  • Lock your choices before the deadline and submit the application.

Documents required

Candidates should keep the following documents ready during registration and admission:

  • NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard.
  • Class 10 certificate for date of birth.
  • Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate.
  • Valid photo identity proof.
  • Passport-size photographs.
  • Category certificate, if applicable.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) certificate, if applicable.
  • Domicile certificate, wherever required.
  • Any other documents specified by MCC or the allotted institute.

Candidates must also produce the original documents at the time of admission.

What happens after registration?

After registration, candidates will have to fill and lock their preferred colleges and courses. The order of choices is important because seat allotment is based on the preferences submitted by the candidate. MCC will then process the allotment by considering factors such as the candidate’s NEET UG 2026 rank, category, reservation rules, seat availability and the choices filled during counselling. Before announcing the allotment result, the committee will verify candidate details, validate the seat matrix received from participating institutes and complete the seat allocation process. Candidates who receive a seat in Round 1 must report to the allotted institute within the given dates. Those who are eligible may also participate in later counselling rounds for seat upgradation, as per the counselling rules.
