NEET PG 2026 tomorrow: Exam day timings, dress code, barred items and key guidelines

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 tomorrow, August 30. The examination will be held in a single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm.Candidates appearing for the examination can download their NEET PG admit card from the official website of NBEMS at nbe.edu.in.Applicants will be allowed to enter the examination centre from 7 am, when the registration process will also begin. Entry to the examination centre will close at 8:30 am. No candidate will be allowed to enter after the stipulated time.According to the schedule, candidates will get access to their login at 8:45 am. The login window to read the examination instructions will open at 8:50 am.The NEET PG 2026 result is scheduled to be announced on September 30, 2026. The cut-off date for completion of internship towards eligibility will also be released on the same day.NEET PG is conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses offered by government, private, deemed and central institutes across India.

NEET PG 2026: Important exam day guidelines

Candidates should carefully follow the instructions issued for the examination day to avoid any last-minute problems at the test centre.Candidates must carry their NEET PG 2026 admit card along with a valid photo identity proof. Accepted documents include PAN card, voter ID, driving licence, passport or Aadhaar card.Applicants must also carry the registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical Council (SMC).Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall only until 8:30 am. Entry will not be permitted after this time.Candidates’ identities will be verified at the examination centre to prevent impersonation. The verification process will also be monitored through CCTV cameras.Face masks will not be allowed inside the examination centre unless a candidate has supporting medical documents.Foreign nationals appearing for the examination must carry their passport and valid proof confirming their status as a medical practitioner in their country.

NEET PG 2026: Items not allowed inside the exam centre

Candidates should not carry prohibited items to the examination centre. The barred items include:

  • Stationery items such as pens, paper, writing pads, pen drives and erasers
  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, calculators, watches and Bluetooth devices
  • Jewellery and accessories including rings, earrings, chains and bangles
  • Wallets, belts and goggles
  • Any food or eatable items, whether opened or packed

NEET PG 2026: Dress code for male candidates

Male candidates are advised to wear simple, light and comfortable clothes. Half-sleeved shirts or T-shirts are preferable.Candidates should avoid footwear with thick soles, as such shoes may not be permitted inside the examination centre.

NEET PG 2026: Dress code for female candidates

Female candidates should avoid full-sleeved or heavily embroidered clothes. Printed jeans should also be avoided on the examination day.Accessories such as earrings, nose rings, bracelets, necklaces and nose pins will not be allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates are advised to wear simple, comfortable half-sleeved attire.With the examination scheduled for tomorrow, candidates should download their admit cards, keep the required documents ready and reach the examination centre well before the entry closing time of 8:30 am.
